Doris Mae Richardson

Doris Mae Richardson 80 of Amarillo died Tuesday November 27, 2007 at Amarillo. Services will be at 11:00 AM Friday at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel with Rev. Bill Wade pastor of Buchanan Street United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel 2800 S. Osage St. Amarillo, Texas. Mrs. Richardson was born in Jourdanton, Texas and graduated from Holland High School. She moved to Amarillo in 1952 from Temple. She was a member of Buchanan Street United Methodist Church, A.E Shirley O.E.S #986, past president of the Social Order of the Beauceant #246, and Daughters of the Nile. Mrs. Richardson worked with the San Jacinto Rainbow Girls and the Order of the DeMolay. She married Marvin Richardson on September 24, 1949 at Waco. She was preceded in death by a son, Jamie Richardson in 1997. Survivors include: her husband of the home, 2 daughters; Bertha Kinsinger and her husband Arthur of Killeen and Charlotte Jefcoat and her husband George of Dacula, GA, 1 son Roy Gene Richardson and his wife Huong of Yuma, AZ, 1 sister; Betty Willie of Temple, 2 brothers; Alvin Guenzel of Long Beach, Miss., and Harlan Guenzel of Houston, 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. The family request memorial donation to: Khiva Shrine Temple or a favorite charity.
