Dorothy Louise Fox-Tate 84, of Amarillo died Friday, February 5, 2016 at her home. Graveside services will be at 11:00 AM Monday at Llano East Cemetery, Field of Valor with Gil Hiltbrunner pastor of Shiloh Fellowship officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S, Osage St. Mrs. Tate was born on Oct. 29, 1931 in Amarillo to William and Sarah Fox. She worked at Maywood Manufacturing for several years before going to work at Northwest Texas Hospital as a medical records clerk. She retired in 1994. Dorothy enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved watching her grandsons play football and going to Braum's for ice cream. She married the love of her life, Eugene Tate on Nov. 25, 1949 in Amarillo. He preceded her in death in 2011. Dorothy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She was a wonderful mom and grandma. She is survived by one daughter, Kim Brown of Amarillo; two sons, Kenny Tate and wife Bev and David Tate and wife Sherry all of Amarillo; two brothers, Alton Fox and Garland Fox both of Amarillo; one sister, Janice Cooper of Amarillo; six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. The family suggests memorial donations to Olivia's Angels. Graveside Services will be at Llano East Cemetery, 2900 S.
