Dorothy Houdashell

Dorothy Houdashell, 80, of Amarillo died Tuesday, August 23, 2022. No services are scheduled at this time. Arrangements and cremation are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage. Dorothy was born in Granite City, Il. On April 22, 1942, to William and Margorie Adkins. She was a loving mother and a very hard worker. She enjoyed spending time with her family. Dorothy was a CNA and loved taking care of the elderly. She also enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys, Soap operas, fishing, and Camping. She was a Strong Woman and very straight forward not tolerating nonsense. Dorothy was preceded in death by her first husband, James Houdashell, her second husband, Walter Gloodt, her parents, and two sons: Randy and William Houdashell. She is survived by her three daughters; Tammy Messer and her husband Tommy, Crystal Rodriguez, and Deanna Fisher and her husband Mark, 11 grandchildren, and 37 great-grandchildren.
