Dorthy Fern Graves

Our special angel Dorthy Fern Graves; today on February 14, 2005 left us and went home. Chapel Services will be Wednesday February 16, 2005at 2:00 PM in Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel with Pastor La Von Thompson of Life of Praise Fellowship Church officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel; 2800 South Osage Amarillo, TX 79103. The world is a beautiful place, but on October 30, 1914, our Lord brought a very beautiful gift, a very special woman named Dorothy Burris-Graves who came to be born in Stephenville, TX. Dorothy was married to Alva Lee Graves who preceded her in death. She was extremely beautiful in mind, body, and spirit; everyone that has every known her will always love and cherish her. She was an avid fan of race cars and cycles; she was also very active in her church and secret pal services in the 1950's, while working in the Tulia Steam Laundry; she was also employed for some time at Palo Duro Bowl. The most beautiful woman, grand mother and great- grand mother passed away on Feb. 14, 2005; May our Lord Jesus Christ hold and embrace her in heaven. Survivors include: 2 sons Albert Graves and wife Winnie, Dennis Robert Graves and wife Jo, both of Amarillo; 3 daughters Betty Walton and husband Bill, Carrie Leamon and husband Roy, both of Amarillo, and Barbara Boone and husband Al, of Fort Collins, CO; 18 grand children, 26 great- grand children, and 9 great-great-grand children.
