Douglas Jay Straight Arrow Farmer, 58 of Amarillo died Wednesday, September 17, 2014 in Amarillo. Memorial services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday at the Rolling Hills Riding Club. Cremation and arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage St. Douglas was born in Amarillo on December 27, 1955 to George and Lorene Farmer. Survivors his wife Alane Combs, 2 sons, Chance Farmer and Justin Green both of Amarillo; 2 brothers, Joe Farmer of Amarillo and Bill Farmer of Weatherford, OK; 4 sisters, Kathy Ensminger of Davis, OK, Debbie Vreeland San Antonio, Vickie Fowler of Selma, NC and Becky Miller of Amarillo; several grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, cousins. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations to the Wounded Warrior Project.
