Doyce Longbine

Doyce H. Longbine, 79 of Amarillo died Monday Dec. 30, 2002 in Amarillo. Services will be at 11:00 AM Friday at Rector Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. GA Roach of Northwest Texas Healthcare System officiating. Interment will be at Llano Cemetery. Military Rites will be by the DAV Chapter 26. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage St. Mr. Longbine was born in Estelline. He moved to Amarillo in 1954 from Estelline. He served in the Army during the WWII and Korea. He worked for Bucks Garage for several years. He married Margaret Mendez in 1950 at Childress. He was a Baptist. Survivors include: his wife of the home; 1 daughter; Carol Wilkinson and her husband Lloyd of Duncanville, 1 son; Bobby Longbine and his wife Gloria of Amarillo, 2 sisters; Margaret Mendez of Amarillo and Katie Rogers of Childress, 1 brother; Frank Longbine of Estelline, 4 grandchildren; Jennifer Longbine, James Longbine, John Wilkinson and Cheryl Wilkinson, and 2 great-granddaughters; Marissa and Hanna Longbine.
