Dr. Robin Lea Capt

Dr. Robin Lea Capt, 48, of Canyon died Monday, November 11, 2013 in Amarillo. Service will be provided by the family at West Texas A&M University on Sunday, November 17. Cremation arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Robin was born on September 2, 1965 in Carlsbad, New Mexico. She married the love of her life, William Michael Mike Capt in 1988 in Carrollton, Texas. She received her Ph. D in Higher Education from Texas Tech University. Robin was a beloved professor at West Texas A&M University of Education and served as the associate Dean of the West Texas A&M University Graduate School. Robin was a loving and devoted wife and mother that gave to others before herself. She was a remarkable and recognized professor, utterly devoted to her vocation. She made sure her children had everything they needed to succeed in life. She is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth Capt and Jonathan Harton of Canyon; Emily and Tallen Capt of Lubbock; her parents, Frank Gorishek III and his wife Margaret of Bella Vista Arkansas and her brother, Frank John Gorishek IV and his wife Susan with their two daughters, Emma and Erin of Austin Further service information can be found at www.wtamu.edu
