Dr. William Michael Capt

Dr. William Michael Mike Capt 48, of Canyon died Monday, November 11, 2013 in Amarillo. Service will be provided by the family at West Texas A&M University on Sunday, November 17. Cremation arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Mike was born on February 28, 1965 in Garden Grove, California. He married the love of his life, Robin Lea Gorishek in 1988 in Carrollton, Texas. He received his Ph. D in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and his M.D. from Texas Tech University. Mike was an emergency room physician serving numerous rural West Texas communities. He had a passion for education and family that was greatly reflected in his generosity and adventurous spirit. Mike strived to make sure his family had everything they needed and the opportunity to pursue their dreams. He made sure his family got everything they could out of life. He had a love and an enthusiasm for aviation. Mike is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth Capt and Jonathan Harton of Canyon; Emily and Tallen Capt of Lubbock; one sister, Gretchen Sicari of Illinois; his mother Linda Capt of Harrington, Texas.
