Ed Edwards, 75, of Amarillo, passed away on Friday, March 2, 2007 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 5, 2007 at Rector Funeral Home, Osage Chapel with Rev. Richard Murray of New Light Ministry officiating. Full military detail will be provided by the Blue Knights Honor Guard of Altus Air Force Base in Altus, Oklahoma. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home, Osage Chapel, 2800 South Osage St. Mr. Edwards served proudly in the US Air Force for 21 years. He was an avid fan of the Arkansas Razorbacks, Atlanta Braves, and Palo Duro High School. He coached for Kids Incorporated. He loved sports in general. His favorite pastime was watching western movies. He loved to tell stories about his childhood and his growing up years. He remembered all of their names and their antics. He would tell them to anyone that would listen. He is preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and 2 sisters.Survivors include his wife, Martha Edwards; a son Mike Edwards and his wife Debra of Amarillo; two step daughters, Cheryl Bouthwell of Amarillo and Becky Fox of Houston; 1 sister, Mavis Rhodes of NewPort Arkansas, a grandson Dwayne and his wife Cody Edwards; 5 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren..
