Ed Hornsby

Ed Hornsby, 75, of Amarillo, died Thursday March 29, 2007 in Amarillo. Graveside Services will be held Saturday at 1:00 PM at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home, Osage Chapel, 2800 South Osage St. Mr. Hornsby was born February 22, 1932 in Wheeler County, Texas. He served in the military, was stationed in Korea, then was transferred to Germany where he met Louise Woeldecke of Dresden, Germany. They married December 3, 1955. After his military service, Ed and Louise moved to Columbus, Georgia where they operated L & T Grocery. They moved to Amarillo in 1966. Ed worked for Affiliated Foods until he opened his own business. He owned and operated Ed's Handy Shop until his retirement. Louise preceded him in death on November 5, 2006. He is survived by his dear friends, Larry and Diana Jolly of Amarillo. Memorial donations may be made to Faith City Mission.
