Eddie Edwards

Eddie Edwards, 72, of Amarillo went home to be with his Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ on Monday, October 11, 2010. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 14, at Llano Cemetery with Pastor Chuck Neal officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Eddie was born in Pecos, TX on October 23, 1937 to Roy Edwards and Ruey Young Edwards. Eddie loved to make people laugh and always had a ready joke. He was a truck driver for over 40 years and always said he loved serving the public. Upon his retirement he built a workshop where he made many beautiful wood items that were his pride and joy. He was preceded in death by his parents, and oldest son, Eddie Eugene McIntire. He is survived by his wife, Callie Edwards; a daughter, Earlene Kennedy and her husband, Neal; a son, Ronnie McIntire and his wife, Donnie; two additional sons Charlie and Eddie; a step-daughter, Calla Meagher and her husband, Tim; a step-son, James Poorman and his wife, Robin; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to your favorite charity.
