Edgar Leland Snow

Edgar Leland Snow 84 of Amarillo died Monday August 10, 2015 in Amarillo. Services will be at 2:00 PM Friday at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel with Gerald Lee Petsch, interim pastor of Christ Lutheran Church officiating. Military Honors will be rendered by Altus Air Force Base. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Mr. Snow was born in Rosston, OK on January 4, 1931 to Emlin Earl and Zella Snow. He served in the Air Force from 1951-1971 retiring as a Tech Sergeant. After his military career, Mr. Snow owned and operated Snow Refrigeration and also worked in the maintenance department of the Amarillo ISD for many years. He married Verna Huenergardt on April 10, 1960. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Snow in 2009, one brother, Lewis Snow and 2 sisters Evelyn Nelson and Sue Harrison. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church. Mr. Snow is survived by his wife; one son Troy Lynn Snow and wife Becky of Amarillo; 4 sisters, Gloria Meliza of Orlando, FL, Eva Brooks of Dallas, Martha Hosler of Woodward, OK and Dorothy Treat of Fort Supply, OK; 1 brother George Snow of Okmulgee, OK; two grandchildren.
