Edward "Pipi" Andrade 79 of Amarillo died Sunday, April 6, 2014 Rosary will be held at 6:30 pm at Rector Funeral Home. Services will be at 2 pm Wednesday at Our Lady Guadalupe with Father Jose Gomez. Military honors will be by Vollies for Veterans. Burial will be a Llano East Cemetery arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel 2800 S Osage St Amarillo, Texas. Edward was born January 1, 1935 in Marlin, TX. He moved to Oklahoma then to Amarillo. Pipi graduated from Price College. He joined the Marine Corps in 1953. He worked as a carpenter after the military. His favorite job was building. He was a lifetime member of Our Lady of Guadalupe. He volunteered at the Alamo Community Center and loved hanging out at the Wesley Senior Community Center visiting with his friends. He enjoyed shopping at Flea Market and loved being around his grandkids. He married Margie Andrade in 1955 and they had 5 kids. He is preceded in death by his son Robert Roy Andrade, his parents Dorotea and Miguel Andrade, sister Agripina Olazaba, his brother Johnney Andrada, step brothers John Gutierrez and Paul Gutierrez, and his great grandson Xavier "KeKe" Ayala. He is survived by his sons Edward and wife Lily Andrade, Mike and wife Betty Andrade, and daughters Dora and Gina Andrade, the mother of his children Margie Andrade, 4 sisters Antonio Holguin, Mary Alderete, Adela Martinez, Geneva Alderete, all of Amarillo several nieces, nephews, grandkids, and great grandkids. He will be greatly missed by his friend Helen Herrera and many other friends. The family will receive friends at 1301 S Houston.
