Edward Ray Fry, Jr.

Edward Ray Fry Jr., 84 of Amarillo died Saturday, March 1, 2014 in Amarillo. Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday at Memory Gardens Cemetery with Ken Haney, chaplain of Interim Healthcare officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Amarillo, Texas. Mr. Fry was born in Texhoma, OK. He served in the Navy during the Korean War. Mr. Fry worked at Pantex for more than 25 years. He retired in 1995. Mr. Fry was a loving father and grandfather. He enjoyed watching his son Troy coach girls high school basketball. He was an avid sports fan and was especially fond of the Texas Rangers and the Dallas Cowboys. He married Emma Jewel Blanchard on January 23, 1955 in Clayton, NM. She preceded him in death on December 10, 2013. He was also preceded in death by a son, Del Edward Fry and a grandson, Tyler Lee Fry. Mr. Fry was a member of Hillside Christian Church He is survived by 3 sons, Troy Fry and his wife Monica of Wolfe City, Dustin Lee Fry and his wife Dora of Amarillo and Charles Ray Fry and his wife Vickie of Las Vegas, NV; one brother, Jack Fry of Texhoma, OK; two sisters, Joyce Allard of Texhoma, OK and Gloria Bennett of Las Vegas, NV; 8 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. The family requests memorial donations to Interim Healthcare.
