Edward P. Carrigan M.D.

Memorial Services will be at a later date. Cremation was by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage St. Amarillo, Texas. Dr. Carrigan was born in Windsor, England. He served as a flight navigator in the Royal Air Force during WWII. After the war he attended Liverpool University School of Medicine. He practiced as an orthopedic surgeon in Alberta, Canada and Richmond, VA for many years. While practicing in Canada, Dr. Carrigan served as a flight surgeon in the Royal Canadian Air Force. He was also a graduate of Harvard University School of Public Health. Dr. Carrigan enjoyed attending operas. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary. Survivors include: a daughter; Sandra Carrigan of Toronto, a son; Ian Carrigan of Edmonton, a grand-daughter; Sara Carrigan of Toronto, a sister; Edna Cowie of Liverpool, 2 brothers; Raymon Carrigan and Douglas Carrigan, M.D., and his common-law wife; Lynn Gaut of Amarillo.
