Efren Elizalde

Efren Elizalde 89, of Amarillo died Saturday, January 15, 2022 in Amarillo. Services will be at 11 am Wednesday at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St with Fr. Haider Quintero, officiating. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery. Efren was born on June 18, 1932 in Torreon, Coahuila, Mexico. He moved to Amarillo more than 30 years ago from Mexico. He retired from Armor Foods as a butcher. He married Teresa Colchado in 1955 in Mexico. Efren was preceded in death by three sons, Efren, Jr., Willie and George. He was a member of St. Laurence Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife Teresa; five sons, Miguel, Henry, Juan, Roland and Hector; three daughters, Andrea Lopez, Sandra Elizalde and Beatrice Respo; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family.
