Eileen Ellen Buckholt

Eileen Ellen Buckholt, 94, of Amarillo died Wednesday, December 1, 2021. Memorial service is 2:00 pm Tuesday, December 7 at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel officiated by Iman Crawford. Arrangements and Cremation are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage. Eileen Ellen Buckholt was born July 21, 1927, in Reading, England to Maria Herbert. She gained her angel wings in the early morning hours of December 1, 2021, with her three daughters present. Eileen was raised in England till she met and married the love of her life A. O. (Buck) Buckholt on October 13, 1945. She then moved to the United States and became a citizen. Eileen worked for the Ding Howe restaurant for many years as a hostess. She then went to work for Levi Strauss and Company in 1965 in Amarillo, Texas. Eileen worked her way up to being the plant manager of two Levi plants in Amarillo. She retired in 1984. Her and Buck then started to travel. They spent the winters in South Padre Island, Texas. She loved traveling and seeing new places but above all, she loved her family and had a special place in her heart for her grandkids, great-grands, and great-great-grands. Playing board games and reading were some of her favorite hobbies. Eileen was blessed with lots of family and friends. Eileen is preceded in death by her husband, A.O. Buckholt. She is survived by her 3 daughters, Wanda Knightstep and husband Ronnie of Amarillo, TX, Brenda Morris and husband Lonnie of Lubbock, TX, Patsy Jordan and husband Steve of Guadalupita, NM; Six grandchildren Chip Knightstep and wife Karen of Georgetown, TX, Heather Wagner of Houston, TX, Buffie Sampson of Lubbock, TX, Kristie Overby of Lubbock, TX, Faith Heckman and husband Dennis of Flower Mound, Tx, and Casey Jordan and wife Angela of Amarillo, Tx; 13 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren. Along with numerous family members. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be sent to the High Plains Food Bank.
