Eleanor Williams

A memorial service will be at 11:00 AM Thursday, September 16 at River Road Baptist Church with Micah Meurer, pastor, and Gary McDonald, pastor of First Baptist Church of Darrouzett officiating. Interment will be at 3:00 pm at Plainview Memorial Park Cemetery in Plainview. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home 2800 S. Osage St. Eleanor was born on January 3, 1938 in Spur, TX, and resided in many places throughout her childhood during her father's military career. She had been a resident of Amarillo for 51 years, where she met and married her husband of 30 years, Ralph Williams. Eleanor was employed by Plaza Cleaners for several years until her retirement, and was a member of River Road Baptist Church. She enjoyed listening to a variety of gospel music, and spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; and a son, Kevin Amberg. Survivors include a daughter, Debra Rogers; 2 sons, Richard and Jon Amberg both of Austin; a brother, Preston Johnson of Bastrop; a sister, Joann Cuozzo of Boston, MA; a stepdaughter, Cindy Lujan of Amarillo; 9 grandchildren, and a great grandchild.
