Rosary services will be at 6:30 pm Tuesday at Rector Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Wednesday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Msgr. Rex Nicholl officiating. Interment will be at Llano East Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage, Amarillo, Texas 79103. Ms. Fernandez was born in Beeville, Texas. She moved to Amarillo in 1971 from Altus, Oklahoma. She worked at the Levi's plant before their closing as a presser and a seamstress. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Survivors include: 3 daughters, Elsa Gomez, Gloria Mendoza, Nancy Rico all of Amarillo; 5 sons, Julio Ortiz, Jr., Rene Ortiz, Rudy Rico, Hector Rico, Moses Rico, Jr. all of Amarillo; 2 brothers, Alfredo Chavarria of Beeville, and Adam Chavarria of Abilene; 14 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren.
