Elizabeth Betty Marrufo

Elizabeth Betty Marrufo 57, of Amarillo died, Tuesday October 2, 2014 in Amarillo. Mass of Christian burial will be at 11:00 AM Monday in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Jose Gomez officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Rosary will be held at 6:00 PM Sunday in Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Betty was born in Chihuahua, Mexico to Octavio and Ramona Gonzales Marrufo. After much encouragement from Papi she decided she was not too old to go back to school. Betty became a top notch RN in 1993. Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She never met a stranger. Betty always gave her all, in everything she did. She now has her best dancing shoes on, and God has gained a beautiful Angel. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Thank you to all. We are not morning a loss, but celebrating a life well lived by a great, hard working woman. We will cherish all the lessons she has taught us. We know we are not saying goodbye. We love you, and we miss you. Until we meet again. Betty is preceded in death by her father. She is survived by her husband Jose Cruz, her mother, four sons; Gabriel Rubio, Victor Garcia, Jose Alejandro Cruz, and Angel Cruz; four brothers; Luis, Jamie, Oscar, and Arturo Marrufo, two sisters; Angelica Alaniz, and Rosario Limas, nine grandchildren, numerous nephews, and nieces, along with lots of loved ones.
