Elizabeth Shores of Amarillo, Texas passed away Friday, January 6, 2017 in Amarillo, Texas. Memorial services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Christian Heritage Church, 900 S Nelson. Cremation was by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Elizabeth was born on December 10, 1959 to Stella and Wilburn Nelson in Cut Bank, Montana. She lived in the Texas panhandle for most of her adult life. She worked as a nanny, a homemaker, a cook and was involved in several outreaches through her church, Christian Heritage Church of Amarillo. Among those outreaches were Hard Core Motorcycle Miniseries, Amarillo Helping Hands, CORK, The Cross, FROG Children's Ministries, Christian Heritage Woman's Miniseries, and she even started a clothing ministry for the homeless before her passing. Elizabeth was a devoted and loving mother of 4 and grandmother of 14. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. Even though she suffered with health problems for most of her life, she never let it stop her from doing the things she loved. Her last Christmas she spent cleaning quail and rabbits with her grand-kids. She loved to tell stories about taking her kids to Red River and going fishing with them. Whether it was fishing, camping, cooking or hunting, she didn't care as long as they were together. She also had a great love for reading, music, Elvis, and motorcycles. Her kids would say you could tell her mood by what song she had playing. She took part in many biker miniseries and Christian biker runs right up until her passing. Elizabeth loved people, there were many times she would have blankets and coats in her car and she would drive around looking for people in need to give them to. Her generous heart and gracious love will be forever missed. She was a light and a blessing to her friends and loved ones. Elizabeth is survived by her 3 adult children. Her son Jeremy and his wife Maren of Borger, Texas, and their 8 children Taysia, Mahala, Camron, Jacobi, Kindyn, Talyn, Niyah, and Ronin. Her daughter Tina Crowell and her husband John of Grand Junction, Colorado and their 2 children Avery and Jordan. Her daughter Crystal Conway and boyfriend Brian Carlton of Amarillo, Texas and their 4 children Rileigh, Josiah, Tyler, and Zach. Her 3 brothers, Rodney, Barry and Rick and several aunts, uncles and cousins. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, John and Edith Hunter, her mother and father, Stella and Wilburn Nelson, and her infant son, Neil.
