Elizabeth A. Venable

Private services will be held at the family home. Cremation and arrangements were by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Ms. Venable was born in Shreveport, LA on November 21, 1948 to James and Goldie May Ferguson. She lived in Amarillo most of her life. Ms. Venable was blessed with a sweet spirit. She loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Her favorite job was taking care of her family. She loved spending time on the phone with them and was a great motivator. She never forgot a birthday and always had kind words of encouragement for her family and friends, During the last few years of her life, she was blessed to been taken care of by her loving granddaughter, Jessica. Ms. Venable is survived by 3 daughters, Cathy A. Schubert of Virginia Beach, VA, Kim D. West of Glendale, AZ and Patricia A. Donahue of Panama City, FL; 1 son, GySgt. Alan W. Duncan, Jr., USMC, currently stationed in Iwakuni, Japan; 1 sister, Elaine Clark of Amarillo; 3 brothers, James Ferguson of Olathe, KS, Raymond Ferguson, La Crosse, WI and Gary Ferguson of Amarillo; 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren and her special friend John Venable of Amarillo.
