With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Elizabeth Wright, a beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who departed this life on May 2, 2026, at the age of 96. Born on October 30, 1929, in Abilene, Texas, Elizabeth was the cherished daughter of Roy and Rosa Mae Woods.
Elizabeth was a gentle and loving woman whose warmth and kindness left an indelible mark on everyone she met. She married the love of her life, Huey Wright, in November 1945. Together they built a nurturing and vibrant home filled with joy and laughter, raising four wonderful children. Huey predeceased Elizabeth, but their love story remains a treasured legacy for all who knew them.

Known for her generous spirit, she would do anything for anyone and made a positive difference in the lives of all who crossed her path.
Elizabeth found joy in the art of sewing, plastic canvas and crocheting. She was especially fond of creating beautiful dresses and outfits for her extensive doll collection, each piece crafted with care and pride. Her hobbies were not merely pastimes, but expressions of love that she shared with her family and friends.
Her legacy is lovingly carried on by her children, Jackie and Charles Kee, Johnny and Wanda Wright, Timmy and Tina Wright, and Robie and Vicki Wright. Elizabeth was the proud grandmother of 16 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and was blessed with a growing number of step grandchildren, step great-grandchildren, and step great-great-grandchildren. Elizabet was predeceased by her siblings, Rowland Woods, Tommy Woods, Rosa Mae Miller and Pearl Taylor; her parents, Roy and Rosa Mae Woods; and her cherished husband, Huey Wright. Though she has left this world, her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
