Elvis "Don" Mulder entered this earthly life on May 15, 1939, to J.C and Madel Blassingame Mulder at Carpenters Bluff in Grayson County, TX. "Don" was a blessing to this marriage and his older brother Calvin Walter Mulder. He was raised with a plethora of aunts and uncles whom he totally adored. He and his brother Calvin were lifelong best friends with his cousins Jeanitha and Aleta Shearin who were like sisters to them. Don went to school in Duncanville for most of his school years, but he especially enjoyed the short time he spent in Madisonville. He married his high school sweetheart at the young age of 16 and to that union were born Steven Mark and Thomas Matthew. Don enjoyed coaching the boys in their different sporting events. Don married Nancy Embrey Holland in 1970. He then helped her raise her two young daughters and Deana, Nancys sister who loved him dearly and all called him "PawPaw". Don got an education no amount of money could pay for when he decided to become a long-haul truck driver at 21 years old and retired after 39 years. Don loved his extended family dearly and would drop in to see his aunts and uncles whenever he was close or not just if he wanted to spend time with those he loved. Never one to back down from a game of Dominoes, he came from a huge family of domino and card players. On March 25, 2000, Don married Sandi Hill at Christ Lutheran Church in Amarillo, TX. At the time of this marriage, he was honored to gain a "Bonus daughter" Haley Mendez. Haley and her husband added three more children whom Don loved and cherished as his own. Don was a proud member of the Masonic Lodge and the Shriners. He was predeceased by his parents: JC and Madel Mulder, son Stephen Mark Mulder, and his infant son and Debbie Diane Holland. Don Mulder is survived by his wife of the home: Sandi Hill Mulder, his brother Calvin (Sonny) Mulder of Chandler, TX., son Thomas Matthew of Amarillo, daughter Deana Embry Rice and Gene as well as Melody Graddert, and husband of Florida. Haley Mendez and David, of Amarillo, TX., Grandchildren to include: Steven Don and Alisha of Blum, TX, Luke of the Ft. Worth Area, Thomas James (T.J) Mulder of Amarillo, and Briana, Jacob, and Preslee (named for her PawPaw) Mendez of Amarillo, TX.
