Emil Potts

June 8, 1939 — April 7, 2008

Services will be 2:00 PM Friday at Rector Funeral Home Chapel with James Barry of Borger officiating. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel 2800 S. Osage St., Amarillo, Texas. Mr. Potts was born in Levelland. He lived in Amarillo most of his life. He worked as a truck driver for many years. He retired from USA Trucking in 2005. After his retirement, Mr. Potts worked for Amarillo Truck Center, where he delivered parts throughout the panhandle. He married Annie Belter in 1971 at Amarillo. He was a Baptist. Mr. Potts loved bowling and fishing. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Survivors include: his wife of the home, 4 daughters, Phyllis Bowers and her husband Joe Ed and Tanya Selman and her husband Justin all of Amarillo, Toni Simmons and her husband Jimmy and Stacy Hennessey all of Memphis, TN; 3 sons, Mike Pickett and his wife Kim of Pensacola, FL, Anthony Potts of Canadian and Timothy Potts of Amarillo; 1 brother, Lanny Dale Potts of Amarillo, 24 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
