Emma Jewel Fry

Emma Jewel Fry 80, of Amarillo died Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013 in Amarillo. Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Friday, December 13, 2013 at Memory Gardens Cemetery with Ken Haney, chaplain at Interim Healthcare officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Mrs. Fry was born in Blytheville, Ark., on November 9, 1933. She married Edward Fry on January 23, 1955 at Clayton, NM. They moved to Amarillo in the mid 1960's, from Fritch. Mrs. Fry was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed taking care of her family and loved watching her children and grandchildren play sports. Mrs. Fry worked as a home healthcare secretary and was a very loyal employee. She was a member of Hillside Christian Church and was preceded in death by one son, Del Edward Fry and a grandson, Tyler Lee Fry. She is survived by her husband, 3 sons, Troy Fry and his wife Monica of Wolfe City, Dustin Lee Fry and his wife Dora of Amarillo and Charles Ray Fry and his wife Vickie of Las Vegas, NV; 8 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
