Enrique 'Ricky' Benito Calderon

Enrique Ricky Benito Calderon, 38, of Amarillo died Tuesday September 15, 2015 in Amarillo Funeral Services will be at 11:00 am Friday in Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel with Lowell Schmidt officiating burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home 2800 S. Osage St. Ricky was born on February 22, 1977 in Mooreland, OK to Ramon and Sue Calderon. He was raised in Big Spring and moved to Amarillo in 2009. Ricky was a big hearted man, he respected others and was well respected. He was a mentor to younger people and loved helping them get on the right path to success. Ricky enjoyed cooking especially ribs. Ricky was a great father, and companion. He worked for Plains Transportation as a dispatcher. Ricky loved classic cars and owned Ricks Body Shop. He will be deeply missed He is survived by his wife; Ericka L. Chavez, two sons; Braxton and Iazarus Chavez, his parents, a brother; Esequiel Calderon and wife Heather, three sisters; Penny Case and husband Randy, Blanca Calderon all of Amarillo, and Carmella Redon of Oklahoma City, OK.
