Enrique Saldivar

Enrique Saldivar 92, of Amarillo, died Sunday May 25, 2014. Rosary will be at 6:00 PM Wednesday at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel. Mass of the Christian Burial will be at 11:00 AM Thursday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with Fr. Haider Quintero, celebrant officiating. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Mr. Saldivar was born on July 15, 1921 in Zacatecas, MX. He moved to Amarillo in 2014. He was a carpenter and an accomplished wood carver. He was well known for his intricate wood carvings and detailed workmanship. He married Juana Aguilera in 1950. She preceded him in death in 2006. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. The family would like to express their heart-felt gratitude to Francisca Betancourt and Rogelio and Rosa Aguilera for the loving care they provided. He is survived by 4 sons, Jose Saldivar and his wife Rosario of National City, CA, Javier Saldivar and his wife Norma, Daniel Saldivar and his wife Gloria and Ernesto Saldivar and his wife Darlene all of Amarillo; 1 daughter, Maria Barrientez and her husband Joe of Amarillo; 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
