Eric James Balderes

Eric James Balderas, 33 of Amarillo died March 5, 2021. Service will be at 1:00 pm Thursday, March 11 at Trinity Fellowship North Campus (503 E Willow Creek Dr, Amarillo, TX 79108) officiated by Msgr. Arturo Mesa, Burial will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage. The family will receive guests Tuesday, March 9 from 6:00 - 7:45 pm at the funeral home. Rosary will be Wednesday, March 10 at the funeral home at 6:30 pm. Eric was born August 14, 1987, in Dimmit to Susy and Felix Balderas. Erics' music career started at the age of 9. His ability to play the guitar was beyond anyones imagination. He could pick up new songs by sound instead of reading notes. He played a lot at Smokey Joes, Scooters, and Ruby Tequilas on Thursdays. His favorite place to work was when he worked at Guitar Center. He was an avid Price fan. Eric was an amazing friend, father, and son. He never met a stranger he didnt like. He loved to entertain friends and family. Eric is preceded in death by his grandparents; Feliciano and Eusebia Balderas, and Florencio, and Martha Barbosa. He is survived by His parents, his son Eric James Balderas II, his daughter, Zoe Balderas, Many aunts, uncles, cousins, and his musical family.
