Erika Ivey

Erika Ivey, 69, of Amarillo, Texas passed from this life on January 28, 2010. She was born on March 22, 1940 in Munich, Germany, and later married Allen S. Ivey on February 16, 1962 while in Munich. They came to the United States in 1963 and resided in Colorado and Ohio. A street named after her can be found in Grand Junction. After the death of her husband, she relocated to Texas in 2003. She was a member of Highland Christian Church, and the American Red Cross Disaster Services in Amarillo. Erika cherished the times spent with her family. She also loved to golf, fish, and travel. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed sharing her German dishes, which only she could make. She placed her faith in Jesus Christ, and believed He was the only way to true salvation. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two brothers and one sister. She is survived by her son Frank Allen Ivey of Charleston, West Virginia; a brother in Germany, her sister-in-law, brother-in-law; several nieces and nephews, and friends who will dearly miss her. The family requests that memorial donations be to a charity of your choice.
