Erminia Ornelas

Erminia ""Minnie"" Ornelas of Amarillo died Sunday July 11, 2004 in Amarillo. A Prayer Service will be held at 7:00 PM Tuesday at Christian Life Center Assembly of God Church in Amarillo. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday at Christian Life Center Assembly of God Church with Pastor Alfred Vargas officiating. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home 2800 S. Osage St. Erminia was known as Minnie to her family and friends, she loved to cook and was proud to cook for President Carter and Larry Hagman. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Her generous and loving heart and tender touch will be greatly missed by all who loved her. Survivors include: 7 sons: Ismael Ornelas and his wife Juanita of Lakewood, CO; Richard Ornelas and his wife Pamela of Amarillo; Jose Ornelas and his wife Sun of Springfield, VA; Samuel Ornelas and Leonardo Ornelas both of Amarillo; Fransisco Ornelas and his wife Melva of Amarillo; and David Ornelas of Amarillo. 3 daughters: Barbara Perez of Austin and Amarillo; Judy Vigil of Los Lunas, NM, and Rebecca Ornelas of Amarillo. 21 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, and 38 great great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Eluterio L. Ornelas and a daughter Rebecca Ornelas.
