Ernestine De La Cruz

Ernestine De La Cruz, 71, of Amarillo, died Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2002 in Amarillo. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Friday at Rector Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Hill, pastor of Caprock Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home 2800 S. Osage St. Mrs. De La Cruz was born at Manzanola, CO. She moved to Amarillo from Pueblo, CO in 1943. She married Manuel De La Cruz in 1949 at Raton, NM. She was a homemaker and a member of Caprock Baptist Church. Survivors include: her husband, Manuel De La Cruz of the home; 3 daughters, Ruth Jimenez, Elvira Padilla, and Becky De La Cruz, all of Amarillo; 2 sons, David De La Cruz of Irving, and Joel De La Cruz of Amarillo; 1 sister, Virginia Miller of Pueblo, CO; 4 brothers, Joe Martinez, Manuel Ortega, Johnny Ortega, and Jimmy Ortega, all of Pueblo, CO; 11 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
