Eunice Brinkley, 81 of Amarillo went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday October 20, 2009. Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday at Memorial Park Cemetery, memorial services will be at 4:00 PM in Grace Calvary Chapel with Bill Gehm, pastor officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel 2800 S. Osage St. Mrs. Brinkley was born in Mena, Arkansas on August 28, 1928 to Louis and Ovie Manasco. She lived in Welch for more than 10 years before moving to Muleshoe. She moved to Amarillo in 1989. Mrs. Brinkley was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She exemplified the ""Proverbs 31"" woman. She loved crocheting and caring for her family. She was a fantastic cook. She married Nevans Jimmie Brinkley on February 9, 1946 at Mena, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her husband in 2003, her parents and an infant son, Jimmy Darryl Brinkley in 1947. She is survived by 1 son, Jerry D. Brinkley and his wife Christi of Amarillo; 1 daughter, Shirley J. Cornett and her husband Vic of Lamesa; 1 brother, Ray Manasco of of Clovis, NM; 1 sister, Pat Springwater of Amarillo; 4 grandchildren, Craig L. Cornett, Cyndi L. Browne and her husband Alvis, Carla L. Tallmon and Devan ""Stoney"" Cornett and 3 great-grandchildren, Trey Browne and his wife Kayla, Tori Browne and Cheyenne Tallmon.
