Eva Patterson-Barker

Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday at Dozier Cemetery in Dozier, Texas. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Mrs. Barker was born in Apphoose County, IA. She moved to Amarillo 46 years ago from Des Moines, IA. She married Richard Barker on October 19, 1979 in Amarillo Mrs. Barker was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was especially fond of spending quality time with her grandchildren. Mrs. Barker enjoyed playing Bingo, crocheting and baking. She was well known by her family for her chicken fried steak dinners. She was also and avid reader and enjoyed gardening. She was preceded in death by two brothers, a sister, a grandson and great-grandson. She is survived by her husband, Richard; 2 daughters, Christine Arnett and her husband, Jason and Shawntel Barker all of Amarillo; 2 sons, Jimmy Dean Gibson and his wife Rosa of Phoenix, AZ and Jason Gibson and his wife Mida of DeLand, FL; 3 sisters, Shirley Lundegreen of Mobeetie, Martha Sherill of Amarillo and Frances Christopher of Los Lunas, NM; 10 grandchildren and a special angel, Lisa Barton. The family requests memorial donation to Olivia's Angels in care of Baptist St. Anthony's Healthcare System.
