Federico B. ""Jaime"" Nunez 70 of Amarillo died Sunday March 11, 2007. A gathering of family and friends will be at 6:30 PM Tuesday at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel. Services will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel with Ken Haney, pastor of Primera Iglesia Bautista Jerusalem. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Amarillo, Texas. Mr. Nunez was born in Big Spring. He moved to Amarillo in 1968. He worked for the Bushland Coop for 10 years as a mechanic and truck driver. Mr. Nunez was a deacon at Primera Iglesia Bautista Jerusalem for 27 years. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He loved rodeos and his horses. He was a great dad and granddad. He married Alicia Trevino in 1955 at Big Spring. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1992, a son, Carlos on 2003 and a grandson, Julian in 2001. Survivors include: 3 daughters; Peggy A. Morales and her husband Danny, Priscilla Vasquez and Maria Garcia and her husband Daniel all of Amarillo, 1 son; Fred Nunez, Jr. and his wife Socorro of Amarillo, 1 sister; Elva Galan of Amarillo, 16 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, Many nieces and nephews and 2 special friends; Nick and Dinah Garcia. The family will be at 5125 Temple Dr. and request memorial donations to Primera Iglesia Bautista Jerusalem or the American Heart Association.
