Felipa Talamantez

Felipa Talamantez, 71, of Amarillo passed away Friday, October 6, 2023. The funeral service is at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at Rector Funeral Home. Arrangements and cremation are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage. The family will receive guests for visitation 5-7 Tuesday at the funeral home. Felipa was born on May 1, 1952, in Idalou, Tx. to Pablo and Joaquina. She met the love of her life, Euestacio in Ralls, Tx. in the late 60s. They married shortly after in the early 70s. She was a tough woman, never stopped moving, and found a way when one didnt seem possible. Felipa graduated from cosmetology in 1990. She worked at Rosevelt High School with special needs students. Felipa absolutely loves children. She opened a restaurant with her daughter-in-law Jessica in Lubbock. She was an amazing cook. Her hobbies included bingo, garage sales, and finding value in other peoples items. Felipa was preceded in death by her husband in 2021, Euestacio Talamantez, her father Pablo Medellin, grandsons, Ryan Paul Talamantez, Joseph Mathew Talamantez, Rhett Leland Allison, her brother, Johnny and Sister, Dominga. Those left to cherish her memory are her mother, Joaquina, her daughter, Georganna Talamantez and her significant other Anthony Flores, two sons: Robert Talamantez and his wife Jessica and Ricardo Talamantez and his significant other Loreal Lee, 10 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren,1 brother, and 8 sisters.
