Felix Mitchell

Felix "White Rat" Mitchell 86, of Amarillo died Sunday, September 10, 2017 in Amarillo. Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday at Memory Gardens Cemetery with Rev. Anthony Harris, pastor of St. John Baptist Church officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Mr. Mitchell was born in Electra. He served in the Army during the Korean War. He retired from maintenance at the Santa Fe Building and worked in landscaping for many years. Mr. Mitchell was a faithful member of St. John Baptist Church until his health declined. He was preceded in death by a son, Randy Felix Mitchell, five sisters and four brothers. He is survived by two daughters, Wilma Mitchell-Carter and her husband Derrick of Bordentown, NJ and Felicia Mitchell of Amarillo; two sons, Stanley Mitchell and Marvin Mitchell both of Amarillo; 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
