Fidelia Calderon

Fidelia Calderon 84 of Amarillo died Tuesday December 23, 2008 in Amarillo. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 PM Friday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with Fr. Michael Coldwell, celebrant officiating. Interment will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel 2800 S. Osage St. Amarillo, Texas. Mrs. Calderon was born Lewisville. She moved to Amarillo in 1965 with her husband and children. She worked at Northwest Texas Hospital for 10 years and was a homemaker. She was a devoted wife mother and grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband Manuel Calderon, Sr. in 1985, her daughter Lupe Calderon, an infant son, her parents and all of her brothers and sisters. She was the last of her generation. Survivors include 2 daughters, Pat Juengling and Gloria Frutos both of Amarillo; 1 son Manuel Calderon, Jr. and his wife Elaine of Amarillo; 6 grandchildren, Dorian Sinclair of Nashville, TN, Charity Anderson, Christopher Calderon, Marcus Calderon, Sonny Calderon and Jennifer Lucero all of Amarillo and 12 great-grandchildren. Viewing will be from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM Christmas Day at the funeral home.
