Francisco Hinojosa

Francisco Hinojosa 87, of Amarillo died Saturday, Oct. 8, 2022, in Amarillo. Rosary will be said at 6 pm Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2022, at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel with deacon David Duenes officiating. Mass of the Christian Burial will be at 10 am Wednesday at St. Laurence Catholic Church with Fr. Haidar Quintero, celebrant officiating. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Mr. Hinojosa was born on Oct. 4, 1935, in Vicinte Guerrero, Durango, Mexico. He moved to Amarillo in 1987 from Durango. Francisco worked as a farmer all of his life. He had a profound sense of humor and loved telling jokes to making people smile. He also enjoyed playing baseball. He adored his family and would do anything for them. He was hardworking and compassionate. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maria in 2020. Mr. Hinojosa is survived by three sons, Antonio Hinojosa and his wife Irma, Gustavo Hinojosa and his wife Ana and Ismael Hinojosa and his wife Carmen; four daughters, Maria G. Gutierrez and her husband Juan, Lidia Hinojosa, Rocia Reyes and her husband Jesus and Sandra Castaneda and her husband Jose Antonio; four brothers, three sisters, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and extended family.
