Francisco Salinas

Francisco Salinas 101 of Amarillo, died Wednesday, February 2, 2022 in Amarillo. Services will be Friday, February 4, 2022 at Iglesia Adventista del Septimo with Carlos Arellano, pastor officiating. Interment will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Mr. Salinas was born on October 4, 1920 in Bachiniva, Chihuahua, Mexico. He worked in agriculture in New Mexico before moving to Amarillo in 1985. He also helped his family with their concrete businesses. Mr. Salinas was a wonderful, husband, father, grandfather and friend. He enjoyed traveling and was an avid treasure hunter. He married Priscilla Calzadillas on January 6, 1945 in Mexico. She preceded him in death in 2004. He was also preceded in death by two sons, Benhur Salinas and Efrain Salinas. He is survived by two daughters, Gracela Martinez and Maria Salinas; three sons, Sigfredo Salinas, Ismael Salinas and Naptali Salinas; one sister, Genoveva Salinas; 35 grandchildren, 56, great-grandchildren, 31, great-great-grandchildren and one great-great-great-grandchild.
