Fred H. Moore

Fred H. Moore 85, of Amarillo died Friday, Jan. 3, 2020 in Amarillo. Memorial services will be at 2 pm am Wednesday at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel with Bryan Cooper officiating. Military Honors will be by Volley for Veterans. Inurment will be at a later date at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Mr. Moore was born on Dec. 24, 1934 in Dighton, KS. He moved to Amarillo in 1956 from Dumas. He served in the Army during the Korean War. Fred was an avid fisherman and competed in many tournaments in Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico. He worked at ASARCO for 25 years. After leaving ASARCO, Fred worked as a self taught auto mechanic. He also repaired fishing tackle and equipment as a hobby. He married Billie Mae Gee in 1954 at Clayton. She preceded him in death in 2018. Fred is survived by two daughters, Leondra Yarber and her husband Joe and Ravina Cordell and her husband Ivan all of Amarillo; one son, Billy Joe Moore and his wife Vickie of Amarillo; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren Memorial Service Rector Funeral Home Wednesday, January 08, 2020 2:00 AM 2800 South Osage Amarillo, Texas 79103
