Frederick M. ""Sarge"" Ellis, 73 of Amarillo died Wednesday July 21, 2010 in Amarillo. Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday at Llano East Cemetery, Field of Valor with Rev. Robert E. Field, retired Baptist minister officiating. Military Honors will be rendered by the DAV Chapter #26. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel 2800 S. Osage St. Mr. Ellis was born in Oklahoma City on February 2, 1937 to Jack M. and Flora M. (Martin) Ellis. He was a lifelong resident of Amarillo. He served in the Marine Corps during Vietnam. Mr. Ellis was preceded in death by his wife Betty and his parents. He is survived by his children, Virginia, Georgia and Mike and Jeffrey and Kathy; grandchildren, Sierra, Walt, Shane, Jared, Fred and Tracy; great-grandchildren, Neaveh and Alexia; and his close friends and caretakers, Richard and Elaine. Viewing will be from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM Friday and from 10:00 AM - Noon on Saturday.
