Osage St. Mrs. Barrow was born on January 6, 1931 in Elk City, OK to George and Naomi (Bloomer) Eggleston. Freida married Donnie J. ""Jack"" Barrow on July 29, 1949 in Amarillo, beginning her life as an Air Force wife traveling and living across the U.S and abroad. Mrs. Barrow loved genealogy. She spent countless hours tracing the family roots of both her family and married family. She especially enjoyed family reunions, meeting extended family members from around the country where she could exchange information about her families and gain more historical information about them. With her vast collection of information, Mrs. Barrow was able to help her family when they encountered a roadblock in their searches. She was always glad to share her collected information. She enjoyed a lifetime of doll collecting that eventually became exclusively Indian dolls. She was an avid reader and loved crossword puzzles. She also enjoyed reading newspapers from across the country. She was a longtime member of River Road Baptist Church. The world would have had more pink, had the Lord given her a choice. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Mary Eggleston and 4 Barrow grandchildren, Wendi, Shane, Shelby and Chris. She is survived by her husband; 1 son, Richard Barrow and his wife Claudia of Fort Worth; her daughter, Donna Grove and husband Bill of Amarillo; 3 sisters, Olga Fuller of Hingham, MA, Janice Piercy of Hemet, CA and Deanna Mulford and her husband Steve of Indianapolis, IN; 4 brothers, Elwin ""Sonny"" Eggleston of Clovis, CA, Orland Eggleston and his wife Hedy of Tampa, FL, Garland Eggleston of Big Lake, and George Eggleston and his wife Carol of Pampa; a sister in law, Helen Barrow of Eagle Point, OR; 4 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and her dog Mitzi. The family suggests memorial donations be to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or the Shriner's Crippled Children's Hospital.
