Gabriel Carlos “Guero” Maldonado, 27, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 1, 2026.

Visitation will be from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday in Rector Pioneer Chapel. Prayer services will be at 6 p.m. Friday in Rector Pioneer Chapel. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Rector Pioneer Chapel. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage St.

Guero was born Oct. 1, 1998, in Amarillo to Gabriel and Amy Maldonado. He worked in construction.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

Survivors include his father, Gabriel Tino Maldonado; a brother, Devin Dante Maldonado; a sister-in-law, Denise Maldonado; his grandparents, Modesto and Annie Maldonado; his great-grandmother, Elena Maldonado; his aunts, Veronica, Christie and Ashley Maldonado; his uncles, Juanio and Daniel Maldonado; a niece and nephew; and numerous cousins and family members.
