Garland Horton

Garland ""Bunk"" Horton, Sr., 93, of Amarillo, passed away on Friday, February 16, 2007 in Amarillo. Graveside Services will be held on Monday, February 19, 2007 in Llano Cemetery, with Pastor Bradley Speer, of Southwest Baptist Church officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home, Osage Chapel, 2800 South Osage St. Mr. Horton's favorite hobbies included hiking at Palo Duro Canyon and fishing at Lake Tangelwood. He also enjoyed woodworking with his son. He retired from ASARCO after having worked there 25 years. He had been a Deacon at Southwest Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife Vada on April 12, 2004 and a son, Allen Dean Horton in October 2004. He is survived by a son, Garland M. Horton, Jr. and his wife Christi of Amarillo; two granddaughters, Janice Arcabiscio and her husband Tony of Canyon; Kim Horton of Dallas; two grandsons, John Horton and Joe Horton both of Dallas; a great-granddaughter, Alyssa Arcabiscio of Canyon and a great-grandson, Ian Horton of Dallas; a sister, Jane Brown of Dumas, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
