Garnell 'Nell' Reed

Garnell Nell Reed 92, of Amarillo TX went to be with the Lord Thursday July 21, 2016 in Arlington, TX. Services will be at 11:00 am Wednesday July 27th at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel with Rev. Leon Green, retired Baptist minister officiating. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 South Osage Amarillo, Texas. Nell was born January 31, 1924 in Farmersville, TX to Joe and Queen Kennedy She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a member of Bolton Street Baptist Church up until the time she had to move to Arlington with her sons. She had been a helping hand to anyone she could, and she was always giving of herself to others. She married Elden A. Reed of Amarillo, TX on December 24, 1948 in Clovis N.M. He proceeded her death on May 28, 2011. She was also preceded in death by two sisters Billy Jo and Parnell, and one brother known as Junior. Her daughter Jeannette Ornelas proceeded her death on March 29, 2016 She is survived by two sons Mike Reed of Richland Hills, TX and Joseph (Rick) Reed and his wife Andrea of Venus, TX. , she had 6 grandchildren Brady, Rashele, Dwayne, Cindy, Dana, and Tristan, she has 20 great grandchildren Nell will be deeply missed. Her family and friends know however that she has started a new life with the Lord Jesus Christ whom she loved and served. She will be seen again by all who know her Savior.
