George D. Addis

George D. Addis 80, of Amarillo died Tuesday September 30, 2008 in Amarillo. Mr. Addis served in the Army during WWII and the Korean War. He worked as an oil field mechanic for many years. Mr. Addis was a member of Central Baptist Church. Mr. Addis was preceded in death by his wife, June Dozier Addis in 1989, his parents Lloyd Richard (LR) and Della Myrtle (Courtney) Addis, 3 sisters Wanda Mae Judd, Della Juanita Womack and Alta Nell Ward, 2 brothers, Lloyd Alonzo Addis and Virgil Dale Addis Survivors include: 4 daughters, Kathie Patty of Lubbock, Karen Mullins of Elk City, OK, Donna Lorraine Addis and Nancy Addis both of San Antonio; 2 sons, George Douglas and Ken Rock both of San Antonio; 1 sister, Lorna L. Hysmith of Amarillo; 8 grandchildren.
