Georgia Whitten Parmley

Georgia Whitten Parmley, 85, of Amarillo died Thursday, November 6, 2003. Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Monday at the Talihina Cemetery in Talihina, Oklahoma, with Carroll Fitzgerald, brother and pastor of Falfa Baptist Church of Talihina, officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage St. Amarillo, Texas. Mrs. Parmley was born in Talihina, Oklahoma. She moved to Amarillo from Talihina in 1950. She was a homemaker and worked for Northwest Texas Hospital as a nurse's aide for 17 years. She was a member of Cliffside Baptist Church. Survivors include 3 daughters, Billie Frederick and Phyllis Rogers both of Amarillo, and Judy Soper of Abilene; 1 son, Gilbert Whitten of Amarillo; 3 sisters, Mae Bell of Mangum, OK, Reba Holt of Talihina, OK, and Alma Goetz of Grapevine, TX; 7brothers, Herman Fitzgerald of Muskogee, OK, J.W. Fitzgerald of Calvin, OK, Raymond Fitzgerald of Arlington, TX, Dewey Fitzgerald of Tulsa, OK, Harry Fitzgerald, J.B. Fitzgerald, and Carroll Fitzgerald all of Talihina, OK; 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-granddaughter.
