Georgia Whitten Parmley, 85 of Amarillo died Thursday November 6, 2003 Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Monday at the Talihina Cemetery in Talihina, Oklahoma with Carroll Fitzgerald, brother and pastor of Falfa Baptist Church of Talihina officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home 2800 S. Osage St. Amarillo, Texas. Mrs. Parmley was born in Talihina, Oklahoma. She moved to Amarillo from Talihina in 1950. She was a homemaker and had worked for Northwest Texas Hospital as a nurse's aide for 17 years. She was a member of Cliffside Baptist Church. Survivors include: 3 daughters, Billie Frederick and Phyllis Rogers both of Amarillo, and Judy Soper of Abilene; 1 son, Gilbert Whitten of Amarillo; 3 sisters, Mae Bell of Mangum, OK, Reba Holt of Talihina, OK, and Alma Goetz of Grapevine, TX; 7brothers, Herman Fitzgerald of Muskogee, OK, J.W. Fitzgerald of Calvin, OK, Raymond Fitzgerald of Arlington, TX, Dewey Fitzgerald of Tulsa, OK, Harry Fitzgerald, J.B. Fitzgerald, and Carroll Fitzgerald all of Talihina, OK; 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great granddaughter. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3915 Bell St., Amarillo, TX 79109.
