German Murguia 20 of Amarillo died Tuesday September 18, 2012 in Lubbock. Rosary was recited at 7:00 PM Friday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with deacon Rene Perez officiating. Mass of the Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM today at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with Msgr. Arturo Meza and Father Haider Quintero officiating. Interment will be in Whispering Pines at Llano East Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. German was born in Amarillo. He graduated from Diamond Hill Jarvis High School in Fort Worth. He worked for J. Lee Milligan in Road Construction at the time of his accident. German was always happy. He was very involved in keeping his family together. He treated his nieces and nephews as if they were his own children. He was blessed with a noble heart and was always ready to help any one he could. German was an avid soccer fan. He is survived by his mother, Lourdes Gutierrez of Fort Worth; his father Pedro Murguia,, of Amarillo; 2 sisters, Lourdes Diaz and her husband Alejandro and Delia Murguia all of Amarillo; 1 brother, Pedro Murguia, Jr. and his wife Daisy of Fort Worth; his grandparents Venancio and Consuelo Murguia of Mexico, Benjamin Gutierrez of El Paso, Elosia Rodriguez and Apolinar Lopez of Amarillo; his god parents, Miguel and Irene Flores of Amarillo.
