Gladys "Jeannie" Jean Blevins, 57, of Amarillo, Texas passed away September 18, 2018. Viewing will be Saturday September 22, 2018 9:00am-8:00pm and visitation with the family will be 4:00pm-6:00pm at Rector Funeral Home 2800 S, Osage Street Amarillo, TX 79103. Jeannie was born March 27, 1961 in Winnemucca, Nevada. In 1975 the family moved to Amarillo, TX. Jeannie was an exceptional Mother, Gigi, Sister, Aunt, and Friend. She loved her family, friends, and the lord with all of her heart. She is preceded in death by her parents George and Myrtle Blevins, Grandparents Harold and Beatrice Bird, John Blevins, Bob and Gladys Jones, brother-in-law Chris Kennedy, and 2 great-nephews Brian Blevins and Reece Howard. She is survived by her son Jonathan Blevins of Amarillo, TX, grandson Hayden Blevins of Amarillo, TX, brother Bruce Blevins and wife Anita of Amarillo, TX, 2 sisters Barbara Kennedy of Amarillo, TX, and Teresa Gooch and husband Keith of Smiley, TX, 6 nephews, 4 nieces, 9 great-nephews, 9 great-nieces, 1 great-great-niece, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. The family requests that memorial donations be made to ST. Jude Childrens Research Hospital.
